Master James Miley
James Miley is a 7th Degree black belt and has been studying Taekwon-Do for over 37 years. He moved back to Manchester in 1998 after serving 12 years in the RAF and successfully launched his first club in Manchester in David Lloyd Health Club, Trafford Park (Rackets & Health Track Club at the time)
Master Miley started training in 1985 in Elgin, Scotland whilst serving in the RAF with Mr John Williamson a UKTA 3rd Degree - Now a Grand Master 9th Degree.
Mr Miley attained a black belt in 1995 after travelling around the world with the RAF.
In 1996 He was part of the Power Breaking Team that won gold at the GTF European Championships (Glenrothes, Scotland)
In 1997 he was a member of the Scotland team at the GTF World Championships and won Bronze in individual patterns (St Louis, USA)
Master Miley now has over 300 students training under him and has produced over 1000 black belts, and coached National, European and World Champions.
Mr P. Mottershead - 4th Degree
Mrs H. Dervish - 3rd Degree
Mrs Dervish started Taekwon-Do in 2014 under the instruction of Mr Miley and achieved her black belt in 2017. Her two sons, Aysin and Nebi and her daughter, Ezel, are also black belts.
She has taken part in Regional and National Championships and took part in the World Cup in Budapest in 2016 where she won Bronze in Patterns
Mrs Dervish teaches the Kubz and children’s classes on a Wednesday and assists Mr Miley in his classes.

Mr Dodoo - 3rd Degree
Mr Dodoo started his Taekwon-Do journey in 2011 under the instruction of Mr Warmingham at his Sale Club but eventually started to train under the instruction of Mr Miley.
He had previously trained in Karate but did not find the instructors as friendly and as encouraging as the instructors here at Trident.
Mr Doodo assists Mr Miley and Mr McCallum in their classes
